The Art of Speaking
Our thoughts are the most powerful weapon and the way we express them makes a great difference. Sometimes we want to express ourselves through speaking our thoughts out but we either can’t do it properly or people don’t want to listen to us. This blog post is a summary of Julian Treasure’s TED Talk- “How to speak so that people want to listen” dated June 27th 2014, mixed with some of my own opinions, Julian started with explaining the seven deadly sins of speaking. These are the things that we can fall into but we to hold back from committing these sins. These are: 1. Gossip : Spilling the tea may sound like cool thing but it’s equally dangerous. “You never know if the person you were gossiping with may gossip with someone about you” said Julian. 2.
